I love a good Law of Attraction success story, so I thought it might be fun to share some of mine from time to time.
Overall, one of my favorite things about the law of attraction is how it forces you to get clear on what you want and take direct (inspired) action towards it. And how once you do these things, what you want has it’s way of finding you.
So today I’m going to share how I attracted my home, and the steps I took to call this in.
My Law of Attraction success story
The early days
I knew the area I wanted to move to about two or so years before I was really ready/in the alignment to make it happen.
Even then, I would regularly check the real estate listings in the area. I would browse the photos, learn the different interior layouts the community offered, etc. I would do this every few months or so at first, but my frequency increased the closer I got to attracting this home.
Eventually, I started to feel more and more uncomfortable in the living situation I was in. It wasn’t bad, but I’d own grown it. I knew I was ready for something different.
It was early summer a few couple years ago when I decided I would be moving in the fall. I didn’t have all my finances in order yet, but I just decided this was what I was doing and a path would be created for me.
Despite not knowing how, it felt right. It felt like time. I started doing some Law of Attraction techniques (detailed below) and within weeks, things started to shift.
The shift
In the middle of that summer, shortly after I committed to moving in the fall, a property was listed that checked all my boxes. I had used some of the manifestation techniques to get clear on exactly what I wanted. The layout, the view, etc, and this place had almost everything.
There were one or two things that weren’t exactly what I wanted, but they were things I could get down the line.
I remember thinking, “If this were a few months later, that’s a listing I would go for.” By all accounts, it was perfect for me, but the timing wasn’t right, so I didn’t let myself get attached.
An offer was accepted on the property within a few weeks. But then a month or so later, the sale fell through because the buyer lost their funding.
It was relisted in August, and once again, it was scooped up. Only for the next buyer to lose their funding a month later.
The fall
By the time I realized the property had been relisted, it was early October and there was a note on the listing that said the seller would consider all offers from interested parties in two days.
I knew I couldn’t get my information together to make an offer in that time, but I also knew that note could be a bluff to incentive offers. I decided if it was still there after the two-day deadline, I’d go after it.
It was a month earlier than I thought I’d start this process, but this place had everything I wanted. And it was starting to feel like it was waiting for me.
Needless to say, after the deadline, the place was still available. And it waited for me another week to get my funding in order and look that property. When I stood in it for the first time, I felt like it was mine.
I made my offer soon after, and it was accepted. There was no competing offers.
I was also presented with all the right people to help this situation come together and get me to settlement.
This home is not only something that I attracted, but it’s something I truly believe was meant for me.
In the end, I made my offer in late October and I made settlement in early December. This entire process happened in the fall even though it didn’t seem possible for me in the early summer.
Techniques I used
I started using these techniques in the early summer when I was really committed to attracting this home. I used all of these techniques in conjunction with each other.
Spoke it into existence
I started telling people who were closest to me and would support me that I was moving in the fall.
When the summer had started, I didn’t have the money I needed, and my financial trajectory wasn’t on pace to make this possible. Still, I spoke my plans with determination and conviction.
I vividly remember being in the pool with a friend and saying, “I’m moving in the fall. I don’t know how yet, but it’s happening.”
I truly believed it was going to happen for me. And low and behold, opportunities to drastically increase my income appeared for me. I was able to come up with the funds without doing too much additional work on my part.
And like we’ve covered, the sale of this place had fallen through a couple times, which not only made it available to me, but at a more affordable price than it otherwise would have been if it had been listed in the fall.
The fall was right when housing prices started to climb in the US, but the fact that this had been listed in the summer meant the price was still within my budget.
Visualization
I would regularly set aside chunks of time to visualize myself living in this community. I’d look over any listings that were currently for sale and truly imagine myself there.
I’d imagine what it would feel like, what I might do, where I might go, etc.
I especially made it a point to do this when I was feeling particularly frustrated or put off my lack of progress or by the fact that I didn’t have this place yet. I fully believe that setting those feelings aside and making it a point to live in this energy of being there helped me call in my home.
Scripted
Because spent a lot of time looking at listings of the homes in the area I wanted to be in, I knew the layout of the interiors and the neighborhood.
When I was ready to really attract this home, I wrote out, in detail, what each room would look like. I scripted the paint color of the walls, the furniture I’d have, the lamps, the bookcases, etc. I got as detailed and specific as I could.
I even scripted the view and surroundings I wanted to have.
And the crazy thing is I thought I wanted to be in a different part of the community than I ended up in. But now that I’m here, I know I wouldn’t have the view or surroundings I thought I’d have if I ended up where I wanted to be.
I ultimately got the details I scripted, which was what I really wanted, and not the location I thought I wanted.
I wrote this in the present tense, as if it were already mine, and I made it a point to say how grateful I was to have each room. I wrote about what I’d be able to do and create in these spaces and how they’d support me.
Acted As If
I acted as if this was already happening for me.
I made plans for this place as if I was, without question, moving into this place in the fall.
Once decided what my color scheme would be, I started buying things that would match and built off of what I already have.
I got a new couch cover in a color that would look great against my future living room wall and pillow covers to match. I bought the coffee maker I wanted and started using it.
I made a series of smaller purchases like this. All were things that were intended to fit into my new place. Most I used immediately, others I saved for when I moved in.
It didn’t make sense to buy some bigger purchases I’d have to store or move, so in this case, I started a new home planning list. Here, I researched and made decisions about the larger purchases I’d need to make when the time came.
Making these plans and going as far as making actual purchases helped push me in the direction of attracting my home.
