I’ve also found tarot to be a pretty incredible tool to help guide me in my intuitive journey, and better support my highly sensitive needs.
Now, if you’re new to this site, I should mention that I believe in using tarot as a tool for action and empowerment. So, I’m not here to ask the cards a question to dictate my fate or if something is going to happen for me.
Instead, I use the cards to help me get better in touch with the actions I can take to create the reality I want to be living in.
So with that in mind, here are 7 ways you can use tarot to support your highly sensitive journey!
Connect with deeper with your intuition
Highly sensitive people are more naturally inclined to have a strong intuition. But sometimes, living in a logic-based world, we can be less likely to trust our intuition.
This is especially true if we’ve been told that we’re “too sensitive” or something similar. This can lead us to experience a lack of self-trust, which can have us dismissing our intuition.

Plus, our ability to pick up on energy levels means cruelty cuts deeper (even if it’s not directed at us), other people’s expectations and emotions can weigh us down, and the world can be an all around exhausting place to live in.
Navigating all of that can be a lot! It can also make it harder for us to hear ourselves and what we really need. Luckily, tarot can help us turn the volume down on on the world and uncover what we’re really thinking and feeling about a situation.

It can sometimes be hard to break free from the societal expectations.
You may have people who tell you it’s a bad idea. You may feel like there’s something wrong with you because you can’t “be normal.” Or you may know you need to blaze a different trail, but have no idea what would be best for you.
And these are just a few examples. Your life and lifestyle struggles may be different.

Like we’ve touched on periodically throughout this post, people with our gifts and talents are naturally more sensitive than the average person. And it’s something a lot of us have been shit for on as a result.
We get called “too sensitive,” “too emotional,” “too much,” and so much more!
The people saying these things may not be meaning to harm us, they simply may not understand that our experience is very different from their own. But that doesn’t mean these phrases don’t do some real damage.
I’ve found tarot to be a pretty powerful combatant to these types of attacks and beliefs. Tarot can allow you to be seen for your gifts and talents, not shamed for them.
And once you receive the validation from the universe, it’s a hell of a lot easier to own your experience, set aside harsh or unfair criticism, and live your life from a place of confidence and power.

I fully believe everyone has superpowers. These are skills and talents that come to us so naturally that it feels almost instinctive in a way that makes us unique.
For some people it’s math, science, or technology. For others, it’s engineering or a heightened intelligence.
For others of us, it’s our highly sensitive nature.
We can often accurately predict outcomes, comfort people who are suffering, foresee problems and prevent them from occurring, and we’re often wildly creative.
There are plenty of other gifts and talents that comes with being highly sensitive. And while we all may have similar enough experience to be able to relate and connect with each other, our exact strengths and superpowers are going to vary.
